I’m finally early for work again when I take the damned bus. And that’s bcos I left the house before 8am –faints- I’m finally starting to see a peek of the weekend approaching. But first I’ll have to get over & done with today & tml.
Yesterday after work was dinner with Jane & da chix @ Awon Korean BBQ restaurant. The same place Ling celebrated her birthday. I think all the reviews have been helping them cos there were significantly more people compared to the last time I went. And bcos I did some reading up this time before we went, we paid by UOB card which gave us 50% off. In fact, even if we had used other cards, we could easily have gotten 20 – 30% off. That shows Ling didn’t do her homework the last time round. Haha. $13 per person for a buffet is really cheap. Some how this time round I lost form. Could barely start on my 2nd bowl of rice & it left us so full we could hardly move. Did I mention before I love the rice there? Lolx.
I shall blame it on the stupid people around us. Doing stupid things & making us laugh so hard at them that our appetites came to a stop. Compared to when I came with Ling & the gang, and compared to the amount we usually eat at Xian De Lai, yesterday was nowhere near our usual standards but I haven’t been so stuffed in a long time.
It was impossible to get a cab after dinner cos all the cabbies were changing shift so we went Raffles City to walk. I saw the bracelet I liked at Aldo again. It was 1 for 1 but I decided to curb my spending and not spend $65 on a bracelet that I may not even wear often. Saw some pretty panties and once again I had to stop myself from buying them cos I oready have far too many undies.
The shops were all closing so we decided to cab home. It was no surprise there was a long cab queue so we called a cab. And he went to the wrong taxi stand after we waited for so long. And instead of coming to the right one, he left. KNN. So we called another one which oso went to the wrong taxi stand. OMG. My feet were so painful & we were super restless but at least he bothered to come to the right one.
We had laughing fits in the cab which left us in stitches. I think everyone must have been pooped man. I’ve never been so glad to get home for a nice hot shower & into my bed.
I think it’s fab that me & the girls make it a point to meet up at least once a week but the way we are eating is not funny. We need to wake up our idea. I guess next week is dinner @ Pepper Lunch followed by shopping in town. I guess that’s a better arrangement cos it’s not overeating + we can walk off our dinner after that. And I can show my girls the Gucci wallet I want. Haha.
The K-Ling is ill. I think she is love sick. She misses me too much. Haha. Which means I won’t be seeing her for lunch today, which is sad cos I was kinda hoping for some rain in the afternoon. Lolx. Anyway take care & get well soon dear!
