Today, I am REALLY tired. No late nite out for me today! I couldn’t even remember switching off my alarm in the morning but thank goodness I woke up in time. Slept all the way on the bus to work and I feel kinda feverish. How in the world did I manage to go out til the wee hours in the morning plus club on weekdays every week and still managed to work the next day feeling ok in the past? That is age taking a toll on me.
Tubs smsed me yesterday evening while I was at home watching the telly and told me he felt the quake. What sense does that make when he’s on around the same level as me and he’s all the way in the west and he could feel it but I couldn’t? I mean I am separated from Indo by just the sea. Then people from the higher floors started coming down and there was a fire engine but I guess the telly was more entertaining. To be safe, when I met my bitches at nite, we hung around the Marine Parade area instead of going to East Coast Park. Slacked the nite away at the playground, then moved to below Jane’s house when we got restless, snacking on Ruffles and bottled milk tea.
Before that while watching telly at home, I was on the internet as well and a certain someone decided to show me something and I thought it was pretty hilarious so I recorded it down to show my girls. Haha. Definitely not the reaction that person was expecting I am sure. Shall not divulge too much here but I wonder if the rest of my girls would be interested to see it. If not, I’ll delete it cos tubs would probably kill me if he finds out.
This was a scary quake I gotta say. If I’m not wrong, the highest it hit on the Richter scale was 8.4, and that’s high. I wonder how sturdy Singapore’s high rise buildings are cos apparently, there was debris falling from certain buildings. After so many years of Singapore feeling the tremors, I realize that I have never ever felt it before. I think it’ll be pretty fun though. I hope tubs doesn’t read this because he’s sure to scold me for saying that.
Ronny hasn’t gotten back to me on whether he is safe & sound and it’s very unlike him. I shall keep my fingers cross and hope it’s just a case of connection problem.
