I am seriously lacking sleep. Last week was oready rough enuff, with so many things happening and barely any sleep. Then when I thought everything would be back on track on Friday, I was so wrong.
I am not going to go into details what happened but let’s just say that it ended up with a change of plans and it’s been a long time since I went out til such a time. As much as I haven’t had much sleep during the week, I didn’t even feel tired at all. I just wanna say thanks for the company and getting my mind off stuff that really riled me.
Slept til afternoon, then got ready to meet Kailing at AMK macs. It breaks my heart to see her so busy and stressed bcos of me. After spending a few hours there, tubs came and we all went to Punggol Park to meet Dan & Sharon.
Did our usual round of drinks, then it was grocery shopping at the 24 hours Cold Storage and it was home to whip up potato salad. By the time that was done, I had to shower and wash my hair. By the time I got into bed after my hair had somewhat dried, I had about 2 hours to sleep. Fantastic.
Woke up at 8am, got ready, packed everything then went to pick Kailing up from her place. Then it was off to town for a secret affair. While she was at it, I went to exchange my stuff and as much as I liked the Gucci bag, I’m glad I didn’t get it cos apparently it spoils very fast and there’s no way to get it fixed. I’m not gonna pay for a Gucci bag only to see it peeling and turning black in our weather!
They had to wait for Paragon to bring in what I wanted so we had to wait til after 11am. I was supposed to bring food for Kailing as well so I went to Taka basement and grabbed some donuts. They didn’t look very appealing and I was afraid someone else may buy donuts as well so I just grabbed half a dozen donuts.
Went to pick Kailing, then went to Vivo and picked a present out for Rachel’s birthday. Went to buy a bag of ice after that and finally it was to Sentosa! The weather was so damn hot and we couldn’t find the others and I was so damn crabby. When we finally found them, we realized that we had actually walked past them earlier –faints-
Just when I thought we could settle down and enjoy our food, it started raining so everyone took shelter under a hut. What I dun understand is why people who are oready sweaty and dirty and are gonna bathe anyway wanna take shelter. If I were them, I’ll just continue playing in the rain.
The rain didn’t look like it was gonna stop so we went to another shelter. This shelter had more than enuff space so that was our final picnic site. Only thing was, there would be people playing Frisbees and balls and it kept hitting us so it was damn annoying. Some people are damn inconsiderate. Anyway, it didn’t take us too long to get down to attacking the food. Then the fun part came. Bcos nobody wanted to bring home bits of food and it was such a waste to throw everything away, we played games with food as the forfeit. I think the tuna was the ultimate killer. It was impossible to swallow I swear.
After all the fun and games, tubs & I had to leave. Went back to his place to do a quick shower, then we went to Bugis for Rachel’s birthday celebration. I barely ate cos of all the food we had at Sentosa so I couldn’t understand how tubs could whack so much food at Xian De Lai. We didn’t buy the girl a cake cos it was belated oready but we had a great time nonetheless. I was oso good seeing Ah Boy. It’s been such a long time since I last saw him. Come March, he is gonna get it bad from me & the sisters. Hur hur.
Went home after that and watched ‘The Longest Yard’ with the boy and tubs until Jane & Chix called. Met them to talk cock then I went home and concussed while tubs continued watching the show with the boy.
It’s been a long weekend with a lot of things happening, a lot of different emotions and very little sleep. But everything still turned out great.
Since my dear Rachel’s birthday was on the 26th, I wanna wish her a very happy belated birthday. OMG. You are 25 years old oready!! I hope you like the present Jes & I got you and I hope you had fun on Sunday! We shall try not to let you down in March. Haha.
Next, to all my lovelies, I had a blast on Sunday even though the beach ain’t exactly my kinda thing but with you guys, I guess it’s easy to forget about all the discomfort. Its oways madness with you guys around and I’m glad everyone put in the effort to make this work out. So credit to Mandy for organizing and even though Ting Ting couldn’t join us, I hope she gets better soon and next time, we shall aim for full attendance yah.
Once again, Kailing, 辛苦你了. I really owe you one.
