I knew this would happen sooner or later. Sleep deprivation has caused me to wake up an hour late for work. Had the full intention to cab to work but what coincidence that daddy, who had stepped out of the house to go work, came back to use the bathroom and as I was waiting for the lift, he came out and offered to send me to the MRT. I was secretly cursing and swearing cos the last thing I wanted to do was to take public transport and if I took a cab from the MRT, It would have been a longer journey and taken a much longer time but bcos I didn’t want to turn down his well intentions, I agreed. It all took a turn for the better when he decided I was very late and sent me to work instead. The ECP was bloody jammed but miraculously, I wasn’t that late for work. I decided not to push my luck so I skipped my morning ciggie and went up to the office, only to receive an email from the boss saying that he’ll be late for work. –phew- I think I’ve been pretty heng this morning, not needing to spend on cab fare and not getting caught for being late. I just hope the rest of the day goes well.
And now, the reason why I had a big problem waking up. Yesterday after work, went home, changed out of my office clothes, went to pick my bitches up and headed to PS. Dinner at LJS then we shopped, and I bought a faux python bag. Only thing is, I bought for the sake of buying and I won’t be surprised if I don’t use it at all. But I do like it lah. Had to stop shopping halfway to go collect our movie tickets which we booked. We were supposed to collect them half an hour before the movie starts but when we went there exactly half an hour before, they had oready released the damn tickets. I was so pissed but the girl at the counter said nobody had bought our tickets yet so everything was ok.
We had to wait 5 mins before they could issue the tickets but we didn’t wanna wait so we paid and continued shopping. Haha. Shopped til the movie was gonna start oready then we went to the cinema to collect our tickets.
I really enjoyed the show though. It’s a musical so if you don’t like dark movies, musicals and Johhny Boy (how could you not?!!), then don’t bother watching it. The songs were fairly catchy, the setting was great, the story was simple yet there was a twist to it and Johnny Depp was to-die-for. I wouldn’t mind letting him slit my throat anytime.
It was midnite by the time the show ended and I sent my bitches home, then I went home, washed my hair, then I went to pick them up again. Haha. We are all mad. I think we love each other too much. At least we are not out gallivanting with random guys right. Ok I take that back. And no, I am not gonna go into detail what that meant. It’s part of our skeleton collection for our closets. Haha.
We went to ECP, and there were these gross thingys all over the seats. My bitches are so silly. They thought it was dirt or leaves or something so they swept it away and then I realized that those damn things were moving. We have no idea what in the world they are but there were so many of them. They are tiny, cone shaped and they crawl around really slowly.
We decided to move 1 table away and it was much cleaner. Sat there and talk cock until I really BTH then we decided to call it a nite. The thing was, I was so tired but I couldn’t fall asleep until I only had 2 over hours left to sleep. I guess that’s why I couldn’t wake up this morning. Having less than 3 or 4 hours worth of sleep narrows my chances of hearing the alarm. Haha.
I dunno why but I’m very hyped about the 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix on 28 Sep. They should have the track closer to the office so we can all have a free view of it. I can imagine all the booze that’s gonna flow and we have a nice big garden to watch the race from. Of course, that’s only wishful thinking on my part. But by then, the company may relocate so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that if we do, it’s somewhere with a brid’s eye view of the race. Speaking of which, I am so comfortable here that I can’t really imagine shifting somewhere else. *sigh*
Everyone is back in the office today, but not for long. I feel so sad lah. I’m gonna miss them so much. I still believe that all it took was 1 mad woman to ruin everything here. I hope she’s getting her retribution right now. Today is a day of goodbyes and everyone knows who I will be particularly missing.
On a lighter note, met Mandy for lunch today and as much as I’m not that big a fan of Korean food, the place she brought me to was pretty good and we were so damn full after that. I think it’s the same one at east coast near Holy Fam though. I thought I found the name very familiar.
