The CNY holidays are over. It somehow didn’t feel like I had 4 days off. It felt more like a usual weekend.
This was a really tiring CNY I gotta say. Instead of feeling refreshed after the long weekend, I’m actually feeling more tired than ever.
Woke up bright and early on Thursday morning to collect my 1st ang pow from the parents. Went to Granny’s following that for more ang pows. It’s standard the things we do there.. sit around, munch on new year goodies, fall asleep, watch tv, play with Ethan, gamble. After all these years, I know for a fact that I’m not meant to gamble. It’s a sign. No matter how many hours I can be gambling, my money oways seems to be stagnant.
Went to visit tub’s granny at nite and then we met Dan & Sharon for a smoke.
Friday was another day of waking up early. Went to the other side of grandparents to 拜年 and once again, I nearly fell asleep there. Everything on tv was pathetic. Went to Granny’s house for lunch and pretty much stayed the rest of the day there gambling. Tubs came over and won all of Clare’s coins. Haha. Do not look down on coins bcos all in all, there was a lot of money there.
Dan, Sharon and Marcus came over to tub’s to gamble and from 9+pm, we played til 4am and I lost only $1. Fab. They decided to grab macs breakfast after that and I was so tired I could barely swallow my food.
Woke up in the late afternoon, ate lunch which dad bought for us, then we went to Lawrence’s place. I didn’t gamble this time round so I watched the stupid mahjong show on tv. Haha. We left when the show ended to pick the boy up for supper at Xin Wang. After that wad home sweet home for some beauty sleep.
Sunday, dad decided to go Xin Wang for lunch. What genius. We just had that before we went to sleep and immediately after waking up, we are going back there to eat. After lunch, we went down to Mandai crematorium to visit Grandpa. CNY will never be the same without him. Went to Qian Hu after that for the heck of it and then slacked at tub’s place til it was time for me to go Mel’s house.
It’s been a long time since everyone gathered for a karaoke session oready. Walked outside for our dinner and we were so full that there were so much food left over. Went home and MSNed with some people I haven’t spoken to in a long time.
It’s been a long weekend of either sleeping late or waking up early and being out and about. No wonder I’m so damn tired lah. The office cleaner is so nice. She gave me a $10 ang pow. Speaking of ang pows, I actually got a $2 ang pow………………… and I can’t recall who gave it to me. WTH.
