I admit defeat. I no longer have the stamina to walk around and shop for ages like I used to. Left work during lunch to meet my bitches in Orchard. And for the next 5-6 hours, we didn’t go anywhere else except Far East Plaza. I haven’t gone FEP in the longest time cos of late, going town means Taka/Wisma.
We started off by having chicken rice for lunch. Ooh I miss it so much. Mandy – your mum said I can go your house to 捣乱 when she is not in the country. Haha. Bumped into my Gorgeous. It’s been ages since I last saw him lah. He’s not as shaggy looking now and he’s put on abit of weight which is good cos he was a real bean pole. People who wanna know who he is, let’s just say there’s a reason why I call him that and you can try your luck scouting for him on the bottom most floor of FEP. He’s helping his fren out so I’m not sure if he’ll be there everyday though.
Anyway, after we were ¾ done walking, me & Chixy’s legs were gonna give way so we went to Nana Thai to sit down and have a drink. And we ordered a plate of kway tiao to share. Haha. After that, we finished walking the rest of FEP and me & Chixy were really going to die so we sat outside at 7-11 for a drink and wait for Jane.
I bought nail polish, blusher, a cardigan and a skirt. After that, I realize that I don’t like the skirt, and that the blusher colour was wrong. And I doubt I’ll wear a cardigan during CNY so I guess all our CNY shopping has gone down the drain.
Somebody gave me a lift to reunion dinner after that. Thanks to Chixy. Haha. 这是个不能说的秘密. Haha. (I love this language input thingy. Don’t you realize my blog entries have been sprinkled with Chinese words. It’s kinda fun. But it oso means I’m kinda bo liao). Anyway, dinner was at Trader’s Hotel and I gotta say the food is pretty good. I like the ambience there as well. Dad said 7pm but I was the first one there. Mel and family came soon after so it was all good. They even had a DIY lo hei.
Left at around 1030pm, went home, showered, watched TV and used the com while waiting for my hair to dry, and slept by 3am. T I R E D.
Today is CNY eve and my boss is happily on holiday and has really forsaken us. Emails have been flooding in, but non from him saying ‘Happy Chinese New Year. Go ahead and take half the day off’ or something. The morning train is so damn empty and I’ve got a flu. I know there’s no link whatsoever but I’ve really no mood to be at work today. I should be at home changing my bedsheets and cleaning up my room and painting my nails and thinking what to wear for the next 2 days. It doesn’t help that I’ve to wake up super early on the first 2 days of CNY to bai nian.
My feet are still aching as we speak can. Sorry Janey. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Like I said, next time, 1 month before any occasion that calls for shopping, the 3 of us should bring our laptops out together and online shop! Sounds like a plan eh.
I guess that next time I blog will be on Monday so HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! 早生贵子~
