This long weekend has passed just like any other weekend - too fast. But I’m not fretting about it cos I can smell FREEDOM. The office has more or less closed, my boss is in Surrey right now, but I still have to go back to the office later to get the contractors to finish up some stuff, then I have to make a trip to Bank of America to deposit some last cash and cheques, then I have to send some stuff to the UK, pass the office keys to our legal office, then I’m done and ready to PARTY!!
Let’s do a recap of my weekend now before I forget about it completely.
FRIDAY
Went with tubs to meet Uncle Roland for some beer at night before going to Dunman for tian ji zhou and then it was off to look for Mel and gang and we talked all the way til 4am. Dropped Mel off and then it was time for Macs brekkie! What a nice way to end the nite.
SATURDAY
Set alarm for 1030am but when we woke up, it was 1230pm. Rushed like mad, cabbed home, went to Parkway to collect the tickets for Broadway Beng 3, only to realise that bcos it was less than an hour before the show starts, we couldn’t collect it there and had to collect it at the venue. Bought some Old Chang Kee to eat in the car and the little we bought cost us close to $9. OCK is getting insanely expensive. Reached there, picked up our tickets and had some time for a drink and a ciggie and then Dan and Sharon joined us. I thought it was a little disappointing compared to the previous Broadway Beng, but it was not bad lah.
Went back to office to pick up some things. I’m gonna miss that place. Took a smoke with tubs at my patio.
Dinner at tub’s. It was food galore! Shiok!!
Met Alex at nite and then tubs decided to go pawning. Met Ting Ting there and pawned til around 4am. Macs brekkie again. Haha.
17th May is oso Ronny’s birthday. I do miss that boy so even though we still SMS/MSN and sometimes he still calls me to have a quick chat on the fone. It’s just different with him being in Indonesia. I know he’s gone back to Indo for quite some time oready but I’d rather much prefer it if he was still in Singapore *sigh*. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR!
SUNDAY
Slept til 5pm. That’s life. Tubs wanted to eat Katong Laksa very badly so that’s dinner for us. Somehow I had the sudden urge to watch The Little Mermaid or Beauty And The Beast but I didn’t have either shows so tubs asked Alex to bring out all the cartoon DVDs that he had. And along with those DVDs, he brought Max. His dog! It’s such a cute little thing lah!
When we got home, we opened a bottle of Chardonnay and watched Open Season. Cute. And then I heard tubs snoring away. ZzZzZZzZzZzzz…..
MONDAY
Vesak Day holiday! Woke up, went to Thai Pan for lunch then went to Parkway to get my glasses done. I dunno why I decided to make a pair of Vivienne Westwood’s cos I know I’m not gonna wear them much and they cost a bomb but I quite like them so what the heck.
Wanted to go test drive the Rav4 after that but they didn’t have it in the showroom, neither did they have a test drive model. Shucks…
Went home and watched Meet The Robinsons. I know, I’m so outdated but it was not too bad a cartoon.
Went for dinner with the folks and then went back to tub’s area to meet Wayne, Alex and Max. Haha.
I think that’s about all for my long weekend. Long but lazy. I’m sure I missed out on some details but I guess that’s roughly what I can remember lah. Haha.
