It’s been a week since I last blogged. I think I better post an entry before the next weekend comes. Hur hur.
Here’s a recap of the past week.
One weekend, 3 birthdays.
Dan’s on Saturday
Grandma’s on Sunday
Dad’s on Monday
Here’s wishing all of them a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Thursday after Jane’s “morning” call, I had to drag myself to the car and get my ass to our appointment and then it was slacking and wandering all the way until nite time. It was also then that I fell sick. KNN. It must have been the aftermath of Zouking and then dim sum before going to bed.
Friday, Aunty Cat came back from Sweden and on the same day, Mel flew off to Australia. I oso wanna go!! Boo Hoo. I need a holiday too! Tubs came to pick me after he was done at work and we went to Carlton for dinner before going to watch a movie. We caught Get Smart cos there were people raving about the movie but I didn’t like it at all! I am really not that easily amused. I thought it was lame and after awhile, my mind drifted off and I wanted to played game on tub’s hp but he made me watch the movie and then I started looking around me -sigh- The only saving grace is that Anne Hathaway looked hot and The Rock was just to-die-for. Yums.
After the movie, we met up with Ben and the crazy boys went pawning until the sun came up. I think that was around 8am or so. Fuck. I was damn bloody crabby and steamed I swear. During pawning when I saw the sky turning bright, I knew I was screwed. By the time we left the place, the sun was out in full force and I wish I could just dig a hole and bury myself man… But it was fun nevertheless and I had Macs for brekkie but it wasn’t shiok at all cos when I’m deprived of sleep until the sun comes up, I have no appetite whatsoever.
Wanted to buy daddy’s present on Saturday but it was so damn crowded that the carpark was full so we gave that a miss and we went to meet Alex. After slacking with him, we headed down to Pasir Ris Park to meet tub’s uncle for drinks. It’s a wonder how 1 person can really change the atmosphere of the entire place. Hahaha. He was so loud and boisterous the whole place was filled with his noise. And then he took over the live band and went up to sing a couple of songs, and went round talking to the customers there. Machiam it’s his own pub or restaurant lor. Hahaha. But he’s oways full of fun lah. Halfway through, he came back with his ciggie half unlit. And then we found out he had accidentally stubbed it out on someone’s shirt accidentally and that person was still non the wiser. -faints-
After that was off to Geylang for Tien Ji Zhou cos Dunman had ran out of Tien Jis oready. Sad. Even though Geylang is buy 3 get 2 free and is famous for their Tien Ji Zhou, it still can’t compare to Dunman *sigh* We were stuffed after that and we were lucky enuff to stop a carpark warden just in time before we got a slip. Haha.
Sunday woke up early in the morning to get prepared for lunch to celebrate Grandma’s birthday at ECP Tung Lok. I love Tung Lok dim sum! The asshole was being weird as usual. I think he needs to be burnt at the stake. He has too many voices going on in his head. He keeps smiling to himself and it’s damn bloody disturbing. And when mummy asked me to help her, daddy and the grandparents take a picture, he conveniently stood up and placed himself behind them so that he would be in the picture too. OMG what the hell is wrong with him. He really has issues man.. I think that the longer I don’t see him, the harder it is to get used to his weird behavior. I think I’m allergic to him.
Tubs and I went to get daddy’s present after lunch and it didn’t take us too long to pick out a chain for him but it took the shop people an hour to adjust the chain to a more suitable length. WTH.. Went back to tub’s place after that and we both concussed til it was time to go Granny’s house for dinner. Granny cooked the yummiest noodles ever. Why can’t the mother cook as well as Granny? *sigh* If the mother cooked like Granny, I would eat home everyday.
Monday evening was off to Clarke Quay. Celebrated Daddy’s birthday on the hippo river cruise, with food on board from Hooters. So for 2 hours, we enjoyed the nice night scenery from the river, and we went past everything from Zouk, to the Merlion, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay etc. I think I liked it enough to wanna do the same for my bday but if I do that, it’ll be a strictly friends only invitation cos I nearly died of nicotine deprivation. The sofas were so comfy, it was so cooling and I know my friends would have a fab time so I guess that’s something worth putting on the list. That’s if it doesn’t cost too much cos I don’t expect to get it for free. Business is business you know.
Met Jes at nite at Siglap Xin Wang. It seems like a long time since I last went there la. And after it closed, we hung out some more til 4am and I thought we better not stay up too late cos the girl has work but who knows, she took MC and I ended up sleeping til 6+pm until the mother came knocking on my door. Hahaha.
Tuesday nite was nothing much, hung around Simpang Bedok, watching people celebrate their birthday there and getting their pants burnt by dry ice and we had to be on high alert for cockroaches.
Wednesday, met tubs before going to pick Chixy up from Sandilands and then we met Jane at ECP. It seems like a long time since we last hung out this way oready.
Thursday, I set alarm + asked 3 people to gimme morning call. And I still woke up later than scheduled. Took a bus down to Katong (it’s been a damn long time since I last took a bus man) and we had Korean for lunch. I didn’t like it one bit and it just did not justify the price. While walking to the pet shop to look at puppies, we passed a shop selling clothes and my intention was to just go in and take a look for the heck of it and to enjoy some aircon. But I went a little crazy and started picking clothes off the rack and ended up with a bill that ran into a few hundreds of dollars. BUT everything was on half price which made me every happy (even the bill was still into it’s hundreds after the discount). Haha. I can be a really picky shopper so even Jane was shocked. Haha. I love that shop though. I love the layout of the shop, there’re so many clothes to choose from and they carry all the good brands but are selling it at a fraction of the cost.
My next downfall was when we went to Parkway after that. We went to Mango and there was a sale on and it wasn’t very crowded so we started going through the racks and I ended up with another bill that was very friendly on my bank account.
It’s a wonder what the intention of just having an innocent lunch has turned into. Haha. It was quite a mad shopping spree in the span of that few hours and it left us shagged man. We ended up having coffee at Starbucks to rest our poor bodies before going home.
My ear is still blocked. I think I better get it checked in case it is something serious. But mainly, it’s just pissing the hell outta me lah.
Speaking of which, the mother has pissed me off mucho this week and I have to say she has been doing a good job at that. I shall not air dirty laundry out here, I mean everyone knows how selective I am about what I blog, but like I oways say, people who are close enough to me, will hear about it straight from my mouth anyways. She is really testing my limits man. I was that close to telling her off but I decided to bite my tongue and keep the unleashing for another day and I won’t be surprised if it’s soon.
K lah. Since this has been such a long and redundant post, I shall spare all of you and call it a day for now.
I miss everyone~
