Guess who's having a foot massage at Singapore Changi Airport while waiting for our flight
Haha.
We can't possibly travel and NOT buy ciggies right?
We took Cathay Pacific and here are some shots from the sky
I HATE airplane food. I could smell it before I even saw them serving it and I told tubs ‘I think someone just shat in the toilet’ and then we realized it was our lunch onboard -faints- The smell nearly made me gag and I ended up eating just the bun and Haagen Dazs ice cream and tubs had my share of lunch.
Once we touched down, the airport transfer brought us to our hotel.
On the way to our hotel
I liked our hotel! It wasn’t huge, there wasn’t a good view, it looked a little raw, but it just gave us a very good feeling.

Here's a peak at our room!

I just wanna say i don't think the pictures did the room any justice.
Maybe it helped that we were staying on the executive floor so we had first class service, with our very own executive lounge.
Bangkok evening sky from our room
We ordered room service!
Here's our hotel pool lobby, then the pool and the pool deck. Yup, they actually have an infinity pool.

Our hotel was pretty much near to everything but somehow we kept taking cab around much to the cab drivers’ displeasure. Haha. By the time we settled down and was ready to go exploring, it was pretty late oready so we decided to go to MBK and we bought everything from berms to t-shirts to caps. In the end, we decided to treat ourselves to a good meal and the 2 of us had for dinner - sea bass, HK kailan, hotplate oyster ommelette, sharks fin and free flow of fresh juice. I haven’t had such an orgasmic dinner in a really long time. Even though we ate at a famous restaurant, it was still so damn cheap!
We were stuffed after that and we decided to take a walk back to our hotel which was just around the corner. We didn’t do much for the rest of the night cos our room was just too tempting and between watching HBO, smoking in the room and soaking in the bathtub, we made ourselves a spa appointment for the next day.
DAY 2 - 11 JUL
Our morning call wasn’t very successful. They called us 3 times to wake us up but we were so tired we simply ignored the phone and then they had to resort to coming to our room and knocking on our door to wake us up. Haha.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Usual hotel breakfast fare, variety was nothing to complain about, but it was just not yummy enuff. We decided after breakfast to go to our executive lounge instead and even though there wasn’t a wide variety of food, it was definitely more quality food - smoked salmon bites etc and it was nice sitting outdoors on the 22nd floor, having the whole lounge to ourselves and having the staff at our beck and call.
After breakfast, we went for our spa session and they use up an entire level of their hotel for their spa. Service was great and the place was beautiful. Our room was so nice and soothing with a pond outside and a nice little bathroom attached. Our package had everything from a scrub to massage to a body wrap and it wasn’t long before I could hear tubs snoring away next to me.
At the end of it all, instead of being more energized to go shopping, I actually felt like lazing in the hotel and keep myself nice and clean cos the air outside is terrible. But of cos I can’t do that. I didn’t come all the way to BKK just to slack in the hotel. We lunched in the hotel and then we started off at Platinum. I started off very dismayed cos I realized that I couldn’t shop with tubs. I can only really shop when I’m with my gfs and every shop they walk in, I feel obliged to walk in as well and I’ll do the obligatory flipping of racks and then I will see something that catches my fancy. When I go shopping with tubs (especially a place as mad as Platinum), I will walk past shops and do a really quick glance which amounts up to me not seeing anything I like. But once I started on my first buy, it got a little out of control and it was just picking clothes off the racks and paying for them.
Decided to stop the madness and took a walk to Central World. Oh how I love big shopping centers, each shop in it’s own big organized area. Ended up doing more shopping at Central World and we had Cocca for dinner.
Went back to the hotel to put down all the shopping and we did out sums and decided we didn’t have much money left to go to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Hahahaha. We were tired anyways so we went to the executive lounge for free drinks. And I don’t mean 1 complimentary drink. I mean drinks. Everything alcoholic was at our disposal. From beer to Whiskey to Vodka and everything in between.
Here's the view from the executive lounge outdoors in the day

DAY 3 - 12 JULDid some last minute packing once we got up, took some more fotos and checked out and before we knew it, we were on our way back to Singapore oready. That’s bye bye Bangkok for now. Food on board stank as usual and this time they had no ice cream. Sad.
Cabbed home and immediately I was stuck to my bed but somehow tubs was feeling abit hyper so he went with the boy to play soccer and to swim. Evening, went to Granny’s place for BBQ. It’s been a long time since we had a family BBQ session.
Wanted to go pawning with tub’s friends at night but it was so damn crowded it was absolute madness so after an hour and 0 prawns later, we left and ended up meeting up with Jes and had coffee at Simpang Bedok.
POST-TRIP - 13 JULSlept in til evening and we went to Parkway and met up with Mel and did abit of supermarket shopping before going over to Granny’s for dinner. At night we hung out at the block opposite Mel’s house to talk and get abit of insight into the other type of the human brain. Haha. Went back to tub’s after that and fell asleep until 6am. Hur hur.
By the time I got home, the mother was awake oready and lucky I made it back in time cos she is sure to be pissed if she was going to be late for school.
Didn’t sleep much after that though. *sigh* Sleepless in Siglap once again.
