It was a mad night out with Jes and Jane on Monday. We went to Xin Wang for coffee and when they closed, we moved on to ECP when the madness started. It’s a wonder how many weird people you find just a stone’s throw away from you. There was a couple sleeping ontop of each other on the bench in front of us and it looks highly uncomfortable. Then there were 3 guys dressed in berms and black t-shirt, thinking they’re some hip hoppers, camwhoring for the longest time ever. Somewhere along the shore, were a bunch of thai girls making a hell lot of noise and shouting the weirdest sounding things ever. And of course there are the tribes that are forever found at any beach on Singapore, at any day of the year. And somehow our conversation directed towards sex and we tried to figure out some terms in mandarin and here’s a preview - 蓝鸟. Well, that’s the closest we could get from Hokkien translation.
Anyway, I am very glad that the Olympics are over. Welcome back regular TV! I’ve never been more glad to turn on the telly and see Rachael Ray on, which was just as well cos I didn’t get a wink of sleep. I hate insomnia.
Tuesday was the day the mother bought lunch home for me. At 4pm no doubt, but still a rare treat. Haha. After wolfing it down, rushed off to Parkway to collect tub’s mum’s Bday cake and then I rushed down to Turf City. Bad judgment on my part when it comes to peak hour traffic situation. I reached bloody early. I gave an hour buffer but I reached in 20mins tops. But for all that waiting, it was bloody worth it. Dinner at Ah Yat was simply divine and damn filling.
Decided to dump tubs alone cos I didn’t think he was worth my time. Hur hur. Kidding! Anyway I headed back to the east and met Jane for coffee at Xin Wang and the entire time we were there, we did not manage to get a smoking seat. I was bloody pissed cos we asked at least 3 staff members to shift us outside once the people from the smoking table leaves but nobody ever got back to us and when we left, I realized that the people at the smoking table were different people from the ones who were originally there when we first reached. WTF. It’s a wonder how cranky lack of nicotine makes me.
It’s oready midweek and I wonder what plans I have tonite. How time flies!
