Last Friday morning was bright and early for me. Went Parkway with the mother to run some errands and I was really tempted to do my nails with her but I decided not to cos I’d rather do mine closer to Bessie’s wedding so that they’ll be in tip-top condition. Dropped by grandma’s after that for lunch and then being the nice daughter that I am, went to Suntec with her for the Singapore Flower Show and also to do some shopping.

Tubs and I had dinner at Junction 8, a very unlikely place for us to go cos it’s a bloody boring place but somehow we ended up there and what a coincidence it was to bump into Jacki. But I think it’s about time lah. I haven’t seen her in a very very long time oready and if K-Ling can meet up with her in the US, chances of me bumping into her over here in SG should be much higher lor. I know she flies around a lot but it doesn’t make sense not to bump into her ever. When K-Ling comes back, we shall plan a meet up with Jacki. That woman is still as Sum Pat as ever and her laughter is most beautiful when she laughs at other people’s unfortunate turn of events, in this case, me.
Craving for durians that evening led to my downfall.. That night, tubs and I bought 2 boxes of durians to eat and it cost us $50 but since it was really good, there was nothing to complain about. We sat by the poolside to eat durians and before we could finish 1 box, we were stuffed so the boy joined us for drinks and I think the alcohol really got to tubs cos it wasn’t long before he felt sleepy and into the fridge the durians went…

Woke up on Saturday afternoon and realized that I had lost my voice. Fanfuckingtastic. And to make matters worse, the grand folks came over with 2 boxes of durians, and 3 unopened durians. So in total, there is ALOT of durian at home and it didn’t take long before I started getting a fever but being me, I wanted to go out but a quick drive past SingEx showed that it was impossible to get any parking cos cars were queued all the way out the main road so it was bye bye to NATAS. We ended up going to Suntec to walk and on the way there, we saw parachutes!

At Suntec, tubs refused to let me eat anything fried which didn’t leave me with much of a choice so I bought a really yummy green tea ice cream and Putu Mayam which hardly filled me as a day’s meal so when we went back to my place, tubs cooked me some porridge, which ended up to be a lot of porridge and he ended up eating most of it.
Sunday, went Parkway to walk abit before going granny’s house for dinner. The folks sent Aunty Cat to the airport after dinner and back to Sweden she goes. She’s been here for a month but it somehow seems much shorter than that.
Anyways, looks like me giving NATAS a go wasn’t that bad after all. The parents booked a Europe tour package and the best thing is the asshole is not going. Hur hur hur. The only thing is that I have to nicotine patch myself like mad if not I’m bound to die in Europe.
Another thing is I can’t believe how fickle I am cos I have decided on another tattoo and I think I’ll give the previous design a pass first cos I am very anal about finding the right person to ink me. *sigh*
Sent the car for servicing AGAIN today with the mother. Why she needed me to follow her, I have no idea but I went anyways. Cycle & Carriage Service Centre at Aljunied SUCKS. After sending it for a full servicing just last week, they guzzled all the remaining petrol in the car before returning it to us and the car was so damn dirty it looked like they took it off-road. It didn’t help that the belting that snapped was considered wear and tear so we had to pay for it and after collecting the car, the aircon was so damn hot that we just had to send it back today and the people there were full of excuses and they couldn’t even rectify the problem on the spot so we had to cab home and wait for them to call again. Typical of [fill in the blank]. If Leng Kee wasn’t so far I would’ve sent my little red riding hood there cos I would expect better service there. KNN. They simply don’t understand the meaning of full servicing and the aircon is such a basic thing and if they can return the car in such a terrible condition, I guess it shows a lot about their standard of work. Pui.
To make matters worse, the mother once again gave a very torturous journey there.
My mother = Bad Driver
It didn’t help that it was so damn hot both outside and inside the car and when we finally got home, she told me she passed the service centre guy her house keys and tap card which she attached together with the car key. I mean seriously, how much cleverer can she get. Thank goodness I brought my house keys along with me so next time, if you ever hear about my house being broken into, you know who’s fault it is. Sometimes she really tries my patience and it’s not even only me so I think she should do some serious soul-searching.
Ok I’m done blogging for now. I’m officially pissed off. Cycle & Carriage just called and said ‘We found internal leaking in your aircon so we have to take out your dashboard and your car won’t be ready by today.’ WTF.. I need may little red riding hood lah..
