Weekend is over once again. I hate how weekends pass so quickly, but then again, that’s how things are I guess.
I watched a fabulous show on Friday night with tubs - Gran Torino. It’s so good, I’m wondering if there will be another show this year that can beat it. I’m not even gonna bother talking about what the show is about, cos you’ll only understand how good the show is after you’ve watched it yourself. Anyway, Confessions of a Shopaholic was crap. No hot actors/actresses, no nice clothes, shoes, bags, no decent storyline. I’ve read the book a long time ago and the book really was better. I know I oways preferred books to the movie but this show really was crap, book or no book.
Saturday was pretty much spent lazing around at home the entire day before we decided to go ThaiPan for dinner. It’s been quite awhile since we last ate there but I think the standard has kinda dropped. We were so stuffed after that that we decided to be healthy. Haha. Because my place has an underpass that links to ECP, we went for a walk. As we walked, talked and smoked, we were at Macs before we knew it. But it was getting boring walking by the beach, getting sticky and seeing all the tribes everywhere, washing and hanging their clothes there, and even hanging their babies mid-air in sarongs to sleep. So we took the nearest underpass back to civilization and wanted to take a bus home but judging by what the bus schedule was showing, all the last buses were long gone oready. So we walked abit, and at least 2 buses we could have taken went past. It was a really WTF moment. So we thought since buses we still coming long after the time they were supposed to, maybe we should just take a chance. When we reached the next busstop, we sat at the busstop and talked and talked and talked and after an hour or so, we were quite certain there weren’t anymore buses so we cabbed home. Haha.
So much for healthy living. By the time we got home was probably ard 3am.. And then we drove to Cold Storage and bought some ham, crab sticks and juice, and sat outside eating crab stick rolled in ham. Haha.
Sunday was lunch at Jln Tua Kong til we nearly puked. And not long after that was dinner at granny’s. Haha. Insane. I seem to have stuff to buy at Parkway but when we went there after dinner, I completely forgot what I had to get. Anyway, after we left granny’s, we went to Mel’s place to catch up. It seems like such a long time since we just sat down and bitched about the world.
That’s about all for my weekend. Nothing much, but it wasn’t bad either. Oh. Tubs and I spent the weekend taking turns playing puzzle bubble on psp when we were lazing in bed and by Sunday night (or rather Monday morning), we had got a high score and before I knew it, it was over. Haha. Just because he was stubborn and over confident. What a rude shock I got lor. I was just watching TV for abit while he was playing and then game over. Hur hur.

I was in desperate need of food, ciggies and some company last nite. I was ready to kill myself at home. I was in a foul mood cos there’s something I’m not happy about, but I don’t wanna say anything (yet) cos that something isn’t exactly wrong, it’s just something I find a real eye sore. Anyway, some things happen when you least expect them to. Somebody decided to try irritating me as usual. When I’m in a good mood, I oways manage to turn the tables but when I’m feeling like how I was, someone usually succeeds in making me not want to talk to them anymore. Today must have been a miracle. Cos someone actually felt my frustrations and decided to be nice and buy some food over for me and slack for abit. Haha. It was a win-win situation I guess. I got my food, ciggies and company, and people had their share of fun trying to piss me off (to no avail. Haha!)
Anyway, I’m getting slightly lazy to blog oready but I’m reluctant to let my blog die. So here’s a chop chop weekend update.
Friday - I actually enjoyed Street Fighter. At least there’s some eye candy like Kristen Kreuk and our very own Edmund Chen. Haha. Tubs didn’t like it though. He has weird taste… to enjoy Dragonball and fall asleep during Street Fighter.
Saturday - JB for Kway Chup, carwash and ILT. I love. It’s been awhile since we last had Kway Chup and it was bloody heavenly, especially in the cold weather. And Dunhill has come up with pretty packaging once again. This time, 2 packs in a tin.
Sunday - Skipped dinner at granny’s cos it was tub’s granny’s birthday celebration at her place. Had to go all the way to Yishun from my place to collect satay first.
The whole place was so packed, and so hot, and so noisy, I nearly passed out. But it's oways great fun hanging out with the uncles and aunties. Here’s a pic of us with the birthday girl and with tub's family.
That’s about it. I can’t wait for XDL with my girls tonight!

Looks like French opera wasn’t my cup of tea at all. Neither did the other 3 people I watched it with so we left after the first interval. Lolx. I wouldn’t mind having tickets to watch Cats though. That I would enjoy.
Anyway Tuesday afternoon, went lunching with mummy, grand folks, aunty Soo Fen and Elaine at Seafood International at ECP. We went there cos there was some buffet promo. I guess it’s quite cheap but I didn’t enjoy the food much. Maybe cos I wasn’t feeling too well, but it was not happening for me.
In the evening, met my girls Jes and Rachel for dinner at AMK Hub. We ate at Soup Restaurant and we decided that next time, we’ll just order a set meal for 2 instead of the set meal for 3 cos we barely finished half of everything. *pukes*
On Wednesday, met my bitches for fish steamboat which was damn yummy lah. Went for dessert after that and then we went to tub’s place to pick him and slack with Alex for a short while.
Thursday, tubs and I went to Cornerstone cos Gevin invited but it really wasn’t my cup of tea. I still like my church. Guess I’m a creature of habit (even though I haven’t been to church in ages. Haha). While at Cornerstone, I got a call and it was Danny Boy! He’s back! Not for long, but still back. Left before it ended and met Dan at Punggol Park and watch the beer monster at work. It’s great to see him again man.
It’s Friday today! Plans not fixed yet other than watching Street Fighter tonite. I’m crossing my fingers it won’t disappoint!
Everyone have a great weekend!

There hasn’t been anything interesting to blog about and as much as I am very free, I was pretty damn lazy to update.
Friday was dinner with the folks at T3 for some teppanyaki. When I met tubs after that, he suggested JB for supper and I nearly fainted so we called Yoshimaro (no that’s not his name.. private joke) and the 3 of us went in and the guys had their fill of food.
Went to watch Dragonball Evolution on Saturday and I really didn’t like it even though tubs quite enjoyed it. I don’t even know where to start but I’ll stick to the manga anytime. I used to pour over the manga when I was young and loved every bit of it and then now it comes out as a crappy movie. Sian.
Sunday’s dinner was a break from the usual at granny’s cos we went out to celebrate Uncle Roland’s birthday at Yan Palace. I think that over the years, the standard has been deteriorating but it’s still fun to have your own room with TV and KTV.
Tomorrow I’m off to catch Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) with tubs and his parents at the Esplanade. My folks went to watch it on Saturday and they said it was really good so I’m looking forward to it.
Okie that’s about it. This video has been cracking me up the entire week. Either you’ll find it funny or/and disturbing. Haha. Watch out for it’s rude bits trying to get a grip on something. Lol. Enjoy! Turn up the volume but try not to imagine your man on top of you making those noises. It’s enough to kill your sex drive. Hahahhahahahhaha.

Monday evening while driving with my darling Jes, we spotted a rainbow and we ended up making a little detour and we drove all the way up a multi-storey carpark so that we could take a picture of it with minimal obstruction. Haha. I’m not very good with cameras and therefore it turned out really faint in the photos but boy was it pretty. There was a nice sunset as well but it was so damn bright and glaring it was near impossible to drive. It didn’t help that the roads were wet so with the sun’s reflection, all you could see was a bright light and little else. Everyone had such difficultly driving that traffic was crawling and it was so damn blinding you wouldn’t know if you were driving on the wrong side of the road.
Sent my little red riding hood for servicing first thing on Tuesday morning. Yup. Morning. Cos I didn’t sleep the entire nite. I figured since it’ll take a whole day, I could sleep the afternoon away. After dropping the car off, I bus-ed home. It’s actually quite therapeutic to bus alone when the bus is near empty. Haha. It has been that long since I last took a bus. Anyway, plans to get some shut eye was quite unsuccessful cos every hour or so, I would get at least 1 call so by late afternoon, I finally gave up. The servicing took faster than expected and there were quite a couple of things to be changed so the bill was pretty damn hefty. *sigh* Anyway, cabbed to collect the car and then I went to pick Mandy dear up from AMK and we went to Punggol Park for dinner and it’s oways nice to talk to my dear cos we can talk about absolutely everything. Thanks for the chocolates babe!
Anyway, my darling Rachel is preggers! Omg I was so fucking excited but because I wasn’t home when I got the news, I couldn’t do a song and dance at that moment. Haha. I can’t wait to see the little kiddo in another 8 months or so and I’m so gonna spoil this kid rotten.
Decided to turn straight on Wednesday. My hair that is. I’m sick of getting it trimmed constantly, and I’m not too fond of shaggy hair anymore, simply cos it’s no longer shaggy, it’s messy. So I went to get it fixed. Now it’s too flat. Hahaha. At nite, tubs decided to attack the abalone in my house so that’s what we had for supper - Abalone porridge.
It’s Thursday today oready. How time flies! Bali is a great big headache but I hope everything turns out fine. It’s time to meet my Jes for dinner now. Tata~

I had initially penned a draft.. Which was meant to be short.. But it was near impossible.. It just got longer and longer.. And more and more ugly. I meant every word of it, and more. But I think I’ve finally sorted my thoughts out this time. I will not sweat the small stuff anymore. Just awhile back, it seemed like a big thing.. But now I know it’s small, simply because if people can’t be bothered, then I shall be the same. So I’m gonna spare everyone the fakery and hypocrisy. It got too tiring, and through much advice from well meaning friends, I realise there’s no point putting myself through it all anymore. How little I mean to you, will be how little you mean to me. I’ve done my part in taking the first step, but that’s that. It’s like a tumor. And I know what will cure me - be around people who truly love me. I guess these people are easier for me to love in return, and I know these people will make me a much happier person. And once I had my thoughts sorted out, I saw the sign. A beautiful rainbow on Wednesday, and a picturesque sunset on Thursday. Picture courtesy of Jes. The picture of the rainbow didn't do it any justice at all and we missed the egg yolk of a sunset by a second as we were on the roads.
Wednesday was a nice quiet nite at Xin Wang, followed by watching Milk. After Brokeback Mountain and Milk, I think I’m much more comfortable watching men suck faces with each other now. Haha.
Thursday was Jes’s pre-birthday celebration at Ricciotti. Mandy has raved about this place for the longest time but I never got down to going there. Until now. And it did not disappoint. Nice place, glorious food, finger-licking desserts, great service, and wonderful company. I brought truffles for my girls but I think it may have spoilt or melted after being out of the cold for so many hours. Haha. And the 3 of us are such geniuses that we forgot to take a picture together.
The bird-day girl~
Friday, while chatting with Mandy dear on MSN, the topic veered to food. We had planned early last week to go XDL this week.. But it came to a point we were so caught up in the topic that we were so damn gian for it. So we called the guys, got the thumbs up, and it was set that we’ll have XDL earlier than expected. Haha. So once it was XDL supper time, we got ourselves outdoor smoking seats and we whacked the food. The guys ate so much meat it was insane. I’m glad tubs and James get along famously. It’s nice when one of your closest friend’s BF and your own have so much in common and enjoy each other’s company (even though they can get kinda annoying to a certain extent cos after awhile, they forget where their allegiance lie and they end up ganging up against their own GFs. Grow up! Haha).
Anyway, let me digress abit. I found somewhere I can’t wait to bring my lovelies to. But it’s a little pricy but I think just the place, the view, the privacy and the ambience is worth every cent of it. And they are known for their food as well. So it can’t go wrong can it? Hur hur. So dears, let me know when everyone wants to meet up again yah.
Saturday, went for NATAS to look see since tubs got us free passes.
Met up with Mandy dear for awhile since she was working there and there seemed to be pretty good deals around but nothing could beat another offer I got from my babe. *winks* I’m crossing my fingers very tightly! After NATAS, tubs and I headed to Mellben for crab bee hoon. I love the crab bee hoon there to death! Yummers~ Following that, we headed down for Jes’s birthday celebration Part 2 at Boozee. Tubs was driver so I could drink Martell til my heart’s content. It’s silly to celebrate a birthday at a pub cos the birthday girl never walks out straight. Haha. But I hope my dear girl had fun. Love you girl!
Sunday afternoon, tubs and I went to Lawrence’s daughter’s 1 month old celebration. Some babies at 1 month are really not very cute cos their features aren’t very defined yet and they still look kinda ‘raw’ and are oways sleeping but this girl is so cute lah. She smiles at the slightest things and is so pretty at such a young age.
It's a brand new week once again. I can't wait to meet my Jes darling later!
