Tuesday was steamboat with Jes and Rach. I nearly died. Haha. Too much too soon man. After that, Jes and I slacked at ECP and before we knew it, it was oready after 2am. Hur hur. I hope my dear Rach understand why I didn’t go pick her up from her place to go for dinner. Firstly, I couldn’t get the car any earlier which means we’ll only reach Bugis only at 8pm or there abouts, which leaves Jes waiting alone for us for a long time. Secondly, I’ll have to pass by Bugis which is pretty near my house to get to your place and then head back to Bugis, which is easily at least 3 - 4 times the difference in distance. Thirdly, eating steamboat so often is taking on toll on this unemployed woman’s bank, and the number of ERPs and petrol for the entire distance I’ll have to spend on is quite a substantial amount to me. And last but not least, I’ll have to send you home in the end, which is the opposite direction from where I’ll be heading - the east. I know they don’t sound like a good reason at all, especially for a friend like you, but I’ll hope you’ll understand, especially when you are driving yourself. I hope my decision didn’t upset you too much, but all I’m asking for is some understanding ok? I still love you nonetheless.
Wednesday was ban mian with my bitches for a late lunch. That’s just like steamboat if you ask me. From the soup base to the ingredients. I didn’t finish it all though. It sicked me out too much. Haha. We walked around for abit and ended up buying rubbish stuff like stickers etc. (I bought so much redundant stuff that I shall not even mention it here. Haha) I oso bought a cropped sweater from Mango. I really need some serious retail therapy. I haven’t gone Forever21 in a damn long time lah. Anyway, we decided to do something we haven’t done in a long time - Clubbing! So we went home to freshen up and get ready for ladies’ nite! We were thinking between Zirca and Powerhouse and somehow we ended up at Zirca cos parking at St James costs a bomb. Zirca was not exactly empty, but I like my clubs packed to a certain extent. It was far too empty for my liking, we were all freezing to death inside, and the crowd wasn’t very appealing. And it didn’t help that we got there after midnite which means no free drinks. WTF. This isn’t what ladies nite should be about. Anyway it didn’t take us too long to decide on a change of environment and Zouk it was! I love Zouk. It feels so much like home there, especially on Wednesday nights. Hahahahaha. And the amount of people there were just right. Not little enuff to see open empty space, but just enuff for us to walk around and we even managed to get seats. I feel happy even just sitting there listening to the music. Mambo Jambo really makes me happy and it’s really therapeutic for me. And before people start questioning me on why I didn't let anyone know I was going to Zouk, it's becasue I was in a terribly lazy mood and I didn't feel like running all over the place looking for different groups of friends k. Moreover, I was happy where I was with my bitches. And being with my bitches means photo-taking time. And because I was a happy girl, I was pretty obliging. Hur hur.
Not my fave pictures but I told you I was in a good mood. Ha!
After Zouk, hunger strikes and I swear Zouk has really spoilt me. I’m so used to eating Bak Kut Teh opposite Zouk after clubbing in the past that we ended up going to Lavender for something just as yummy, steaming hot and soupy - Pig Organs Soup. Yum Yum Yum. I’m a happy girl! I miss Zouk oready.
And yeah, even though I woke up early the day before, even though I was out the whole day, even though I went clubbing, I'm still not tired. In fact, I'm still very much awake at 830am. Jialat. Angel wanted to meet up. Maybe I should wake her up for breakfast. Haha.

Friday night on the way to tub’s place, there was an accident at a junction somewhere in Bedok. I happened to be first in line at the traffic light while waiting for it to turn green, which makes me one of the few to see the accident, and to hear the sick thud. I didn’t exactly see how it happened because all I was doing was waiting to move off once the lights changed. All I knew was that there was a honk, a screech, a bang, a thud and a crack and I saw a guy lying on the road in front of the taxi which was on my right. I think everyone who saw it was stunned. I know I was stunned beyond words. I didn’t even know whether to call an ambulance straight or get out of the car and see if he’s ok. But because he didn’t move at first, I didn’t dare get out of the car. And after what seemed like eternity, the taxi uncle and afew guys from I dunno where got out of their vehicles to see if the guy was fine. Thank god for his helmet cos I think that was the cracking sound and not his head. But it’s funny that they just helped him up to one side. What if he had internal injuries or had some part of his body broken? Anyway, this had caused a major jam cos it happened somewhere in the middle of the cross junction so once he seemed ok, I drove off. At that moment, the last thing I wanted to do was to drive. But there wasn’t much I could do about it I guess. My hands were shaking the entire way to tub’s house man. This was really terrible. One thing I can never get used to is accidents. I’ve seen my fair share of accidents, I’ve had friends die or get badly injured from accidents, and every time it really scares me. And this is why I don’t want to sit/ ride a bike anymore unless absolutely necessary. The passion for bike still pops up once in awhile, but that’s not the way I wanna die.
Anyway, after I got to tub’s house, it was off to JB for dinner with Chan. It’s nice sometimes to go to JB, but I was never a big fan of Malaysia, and sometimes, going there just to eat can be quite bo liao cos all in all, it takes up quite abit of time and by the time you’re back in Singapore, the night is over just like that. It doesn’t help that there is one guy who is sleeping most of the way cos he’s so tired, one girl who is still traumatized by the accident she witnessed earlier on, and a driver who just wants to talk about how another one of his fishes died cos it’s eyeballs got eaten up. So yup, that was all for Friday.
Saturday evening, went to a fish shop at Clementi so tubs could buy some plants, rocks and sucker fish for his aquarium. Went back to his place to put all these in, sat there watching what’s left of the silly fishes, then we went for our first and last meal of the day - XDL. Haha. The chilli this time was out of this world man. It was so damn spicy I could feel my heart beating unnaturally fast and I think tubs easily ordered 3 cans of coke cos of how spicy it was. We didn’t eat too much though. I think we eat here so often that we don’t see XDL as buffet anymore. We just see it as just another other meal so we don’t overdo the intake. Hahaha.
Having smoking seats is always a fab idea cos we can just take our time slacking there, having some ciggies while waiting for time to pass before heading to The Cathay to watch Night at the Museum 2. I enjoyed the first one, and I think this one was good too. It’s just a nice brainless movie, full of laughs, full of action and full of the impossible. I guess it was a pretty good night other than the fact that there was a very irritating couple sitting behind us. They were talking loudly throughout, they kept nudging our chairs, and at one point, the stupid uncouth China lady had her feet on my arm rest which I fucking jabbed with my elbow and turned around to give her a stare and I was really close to emptying my cup of ILT on her followed by my popcorn. Tubs was terribly annoyed by them too. There are subtitles so I can’t understand why she just can’t shut her gab and watch the damn show and does she have no noise control at all? It’s like she’s talking to 3 rows of people instead of to just that one guy beside her which she stuck to like a leech. Geesh.
Didn’t sleep at all cos Sunday was more planned and there didn’t seem to be too much time to fit everything in so I couldn’t afford to wake up only in the late afternoon or something. Bad choice. I was so damn stoned the whole day. Started off heading to Bedok to tapao lunch for tub’s grandparents and ourselves and while waiting in the car for tubs, I started feel ill cos of my lack of sleep, plus the sun outside was mad and the temperature in the car was half hot half cold. After he came back to the car at least half an hour later, he had only managed to buy 4 bowls of dessert - Cheng Teng. Wow. Where’s lunch? He said the queue was too long. -faints- So he got his grandma to cook instead and we headed over for lunch. Stayed there til around 4pm and then we headed to Pasir Ris Farm in search of some shrimps. Haha. I got sucked into rearing marine animals too but I hate jumpy fishes so I decided to go the shrimp way. I’m pretty amateurish when it comes to shrimp so I bought just 5 shrimps as guinea pigs together with a small tank and what nots. Went to quite a few farms and most of them didn’t sell any shrimps at all so I wasn’t left with much choice I guess. Went home, set up my tank, and left my shrimps still in their bag floating in the tank. Rushed down to granny’s house to avoid being late again and today’s dinner was shiok man. Yum yum! Took a walk after dinner to Sam Yick and ended up buying 5 more shrimps. I’m surprised it’s cheaper at Sam Yick though. Went home after that and put all the shrimps into the tank. They are so tiny lah. Really gotta look out for them. Not long after they settled into the tank, 2 shrimps started laying eggs or giving birth or something. They just started releasing these larvae-like stuff into the water but they are so tiny they look like dust particles or something but you know they are the babies cos they keep twitching in the water. I hope they survive though. This is pretty interesting. Haha. If they do, I guess I’ll be able to see them more clearly by next week. And if everyone is still alive and thriving by next week, then I shall think about investing on the more expensive shrimps which are so pretty and bright. Hur hur.
Woke up this afternoon to find 1 shrimp dead. I think my aircon is too cold for them. Haha.

I’m pretty screwed. Everyone is at work at this time oready and I dun feel sleepy yet. Yup. I have yet to sleep. Hur hur. What happened to the stormy nights? I love to sleep on stormy nights. But then again, I only got home close to 6am so I guess stormy nights wouldn’t have been such a great idea after all. Last nite, Jes and I went to the café at ECP and I finally found out what it’s called - UK Fun Fun Café. Haha. I think it’s name is lame shit but it’s a nice place to slack so… Anyhoos, after I dropped Jes home, I headed to tub’s place and bought the boys a drink from the café. When I reached, tubs had just finished washing/ polishing/ waxing his car. Hallelujah! I don’t have the patience sitting at some dirty washing bay waiting for tubs to wash his car. So I guess Alex makes a better car wash buddy. Hur hur. Slacked with them below Wayne’s block for abit, went back to tub’s place to watch the puffers behaving like they’re mad starved when their huge bellies show otherwise, fell asleep for abit, then we went for Macs brekkie. Yum! But there were insects and moths and what nots all over the place which is very disturbing for me so after we were done, went back to his place for another puff, then back home I came. Thank goodness the giantous moth was no where to be seen at the lift lobby. I’ve seen it for the past 2-3days and it’s really disturbing cos it’s huge. I don’t like being stuck in an enclosed space with a moth bigger than the size of my open palm. -shivers-
Anyway, Adam Lambert lost. It’s America’s loss. Haha. I’m gonna try to sleep now. But I dunno how cos Friday morning = Fumigating = Noisy. Who the hell fumigates weekly? Are the roaches or mosquitoes in this compound that bad? I wish they could do something about the moth situation though. There are far too many moths around and how a giant one got trapped in the lift lobby is beyond me.
Nite nite everybody! As I count down to falling asleep, everyone else can count down to finishing work, which should be around the same time I wake up. So I guess we’ll all enjoy the weekend around the same time. Haha.

Even though I havenâÂÂt been following American Idol religiously, IâÂÂm hoping that Adam Lambert wins. I can just listen to him sing Mad World on repeat and nothing else. The way he sings it is so haunting that it gives me the chills in a very good way.

Crystal Jade with the gang yesterday! I still have the receipt with me and it’s really quite an impressive list. Haha. I barely touched the steamboat cos I didn’t find it too good but the 小笼包s didn’t dissappoint. I guess that’s why the 8 of us ended up finishing 18 笼s of it. I think each 笼 had at least 5 小笼包s so on average, each person had more than 10 each. Haha. And that’s not counting all the other food for our steamboat. Did nobody took any pictures of the food at all?!
Here’re some pictures courtesy of Mandy dear, before and after the steamboat massacre.
After dinner, everyone left, leaving me, Ting, Yuan and Bryan so we went Häagen-Dazs to slack and we ended up being more sinful. Haha.
Today, I met my bitches in the afternoon for lunch at Café Cartel at Siglap. We sat at the alfresco area but despite being under the shade, we still nearly passed out from the heat. Chix paid with her Capitacard so we ended up having a free banana split because we spent more than $40. Woo Hoo. But even after that, the heat was too hot to handle so we cabbed back to my place. Yeah. We were so near my place but we cabbed back anyways. Once we got home, the aircon came on, the fan came on and boy did it feel good. After everyone finally cooled down, we were really close to falling asleep so we started taking photos. Taking pictures with Chixy is an art that’s really hard to master cos she’s so fair that all her pictures make her look totally white.. Almost ghost like. But I don't plan on giving anyone a scare before the Hungry Ghost Festival so I shall not post any of those pictures. It was after many tries that she finally found a spot where she looked more normal. Haha.
Here's a pic that makes all of us looks like angels. Haha. Da Chix says we look like we're in Genting.
After we were done with our nonsense, we went down to Kallang to walk around for abit before catching a movie - Uninvited. Hur hur. It was an ok show I guess. There were some parts to shock you, but it wasn’t a ghost show and there were a few twists along the way to keep it interesting. I like how empty the cinema was but just our luck that not far from where we were sitting, there was an uncle and his China ’friend’ who were making a hell load of noise. From her acting scared, to him acting brave, they were bloody disgusting. Anyway, the cinema was freezing despite me bringing a jacket along.
But all in all, I love watching movies on weekday afternoons with friends. Tickets are cheap, you get the cinema to yourself, and you have your buddies with you. That’s hard to beat.

I hate crooks and I absolutely abhor perverts. You think you’re so smart. Your cockiness is gonna be your downfall cos people know more than what you think. Just bcos people dun say or do anything, it doesn’t mean they dunno. The last time I delivered a slap to you, I guess it really wasn’t quite enough. I think the next time is gonna be a nice drama cos I may just decide to call the cops or have you beaten up outside.

I hope everyone had a better weekend than me. It could have been worse I guess, but it was bad enuff for me. All thanks to one person, the king of cock-ups - Tubs. In fact, I hadn’t been in the mood to see him at all the entire week cos he has been kinda crabby and I don’t need someone to spoil my perfectly fine day. But let’s see how he behaves this upcoming week cos there’s only so much shit I’ll take.
Anyways, even though I went without any sleep at all on Friday, I was a very happy girl. Met Jes and Rach for lunch near Jes’s workplace cos Rach was on MC and she loved the chicken rice there so much she insisted that I had to try it. BUT I thought it tasted horrible. I think her pregnant-woman’s-weird-taste-bud-syndrome is at work. Time flies when you’re having fun cos not long after we had lunch, Jes had to go back to work.
So Rach and I headed to Bugis to run some errands and walk for abit but it didn’t take her long to hear XDL beckoning her. OMG. Haha. And that wasn’t even long after our lunch!!!! And so I sat there watching her eat while I had some drinks, and I swear she single-handedly cleared almost 2 trays of food and 2 portions of dessert. And when she was finally done, Jes had finished work and was coming down to look for us. Haha. After meeting Jes, we walked around abit before we headed down to ECP. Once again, yours truly was chauffer of the day. We went to the café where Jes and I went the last time and ordered a drink each, a mixed platter which was meant for probably 4 to 5 people, and another fish & chips. I was still feeling kinda sick from lunch and I could barely bring myself to eat anything else. And then you see Rach just going at the food. Damn hilarious stuff. It’s really a miracle to see her constantly hungry and eating non-stop. It’s a good thing though. Cos I think she really needs to put on a lot more weight as her tummy gets bigger or else she’s gonna have a hard time supporting the weight of her baby. Anyway, we had a fab time just enjoying each other’s company and soon Aunty Rachel was tired so I ended up driving myself back home before Rach took over her own car to send Jes home.
That was about when my great day ended. Haha.
I went back home to freshen up abit and then drove to tub’s place to pick him up. We had wanted to watch Horsemen for a long time oready and we decided we better catch it this weekend before it ends. So earlier in the day, I got him to book tickets cos my damn hp takes forever to load and being on the move constantly is a pain to get wireless connection. So after checking, he asked if I preferred the 11+pm show, or the 1+am show. So I said I’m fine with anything, just go with 11+pm lor. And then I got the most genius reply from him - Why not 1+am? ………………………… Erm, I dun even know what to say anymore.. Why ask me in the first place? Anyway, he went ahead to book the 1+am show. And when I reached his place around midnite or so, he said there still was a lot of time before the show started. So I suggested from meeting up with Alex, to buying a drink and sitting under the block etc. and in the end, he said he was very tired so he wanted to go back and take a short nap. I knew that was a bad idea from the start and I told him so but Mr Confident insisted it‘ll be fine. I knew it was a bad idea simply because when he sleeps, he’s dead to the world. Secondly, when I haven’t slept a wink the night before and barely any sleep for the other days, there’s a high chance of me falling asleep as well. Moreover, it’s not fun oways being his alarm clock, especially when it means that I go without any sleep just to wake him up on time. But being his stubborn self, off to bed he went, thinking setting alarm means nothing would go wrong. But what I expected happened. I jumped out of bed after dunno how long, woke him up for the time cos he doesn’t have a single clock in his room and my hp was in the car cos previously he was too lazy to go get it, and when he finally dragged himself to search for his hp which was somewhere under the bed, the time was about 2.30am. Bravo. Once again, I knew it. And once again, I told you so. I was so fucking pissed off and he wasn’t even sorry about being a cock-up. So I went down, glanced through the papers, and I told him that the only show with available timing which we want to watch is Angels and Demons at either 3.15am or 4am. And I told him specifically, if we can’t make it for the 3.15am show, just book the 4am show. And without even telling me, he booked the 3.15am show. I nearly stabbed him cos by the time he actually finished booking and shut off the computer etc, it was oready after 3am. And at that moment, I told myself if we were even 5minutes late for the show, I’ll walk off and go home on my own. He can’t enjoy the show on his own and make his own way back home. But lucky for him, the show wasn’t very punctual so we managed to make it before it started.
Some things are as simple as knowing yourself better and don’t cock-up when it’s gonna affect others. And also never risk cocking-up consecutively. And an apology or any sense of remorse helps too. And also, it’s really applaudable when you pretend nothing happened after that. Really gotta hand it to you. Wow.
Anyway, the saving grace was that I enjoyed the movie. The book blew me away, the movie didn’t at all, but I still enjoyed it.
Saturday wasn’t off to too good a start either. Tubs finally got out of bed some time around 10+pm. Yup. PM. He doesn’t sleep. He hibernates. And the most champion thing was he tried pushing the blame to me, about how he tried waking me up, blah blah blah. Haha. Nice try. Me who has difficultly sleeping does not concuss for such inhuman amount of hours. If I even sleep for more than a couple of hours, I think I deserve an award oready. Who’s BF doesn’t think twice about blaming his GF for everything? Mine. Bravo.
When we finally got out of the house, we ended up eating at XDL. Haha. Ironic eh. I think steamboat is really out to kill me. Anyway, before we left the house, we booked tickets for Horsemen at 1.40am. So luckily we were oready outside eating so we sat at XDL until it was time for us to go straight to the cinema. I thought Horsemen was not too bad. Ending was too abrupt for everyone’s liking, but the rest of the movie was quite nice. Gore and all. But after all these years, it’s still a pain hearing Zhang Ziyi speaking in English but she did look pretty psycho in the show, which suits her character. Haha.
That’s about all for Saturday. Saturday suddenly consists of just about 5 hours or so.
Sunday woke up being quite crabby cos tubs was trying to piss me off. Finally when we left the house, it was off to Seletar in search of dog farms. Yeah. Dog farms. Not puppy mills. Puppy mills are sick shit. We only came across one animal farm with barely any animals. And after driving around abit, we realized there were no other animal/ dog farms around. But at that time, we were passing by somewhere selling fish. So I thought why not just stop and take a look. Then tubs started whining - Can we not. Bloody shit. Whole day was futile, what’s just 1 more place which we were oready right in front of? So we ended up going in and irony hits once again. He ended up buying a tank and some fishes. 6 puffer fishes to be exact. So the person who didn’t want to go, ended up being the customer instead. I knew we were pretty screwed once he decided to buy fishes there. Cos after buying, we had to go back to his house to set up the tank, put the fishes in etc. And I knew we were gonna be late for dinner at my Granny’s place. And I hate being late for dinner there cos Granny is quite particular about everyone eating together. But tubs being tubs, thinks for himself only. So after going to his place and helping him set up everything, we went to Granny’s place. And we were so late everyone had oready finished dinner. Everyone, let’s give tubs a round of applause.
Anyhoos, we went back to his place at night after Granny’s place and one of his fishes had jumped out of the tank. He insisted it was dead, I insisted to just put it in a tub and let me look at it. And I managed to revive it. But not for long. Cos everything else was pretty screwed up due to all the rush earlier in the day. Actually I’m surprised there was only 1 fatality. It was a total mess. Some things can’t be rushed. I think all he can do now is just try to get his aquarium right before the rest die. And I’m too tired to tell him what to do anymore if he has no initiative to go read up on what should be done. I’m no babysitter. And I’m not cut out to do the dirty work while you just act like a little kid at the funfair.
Sometimes I really miss being pampered and having someone around who makes me feel safe cos I know he’s gonna take care of everything, and I don’t have a care in the world. I feel what I’m going through now should only happen many years down the road - when I’m looking after my own children. But now, it’s my BF who I have to look after like a child. I’m like having post natal depression. Haha.
Now as I’m blogging and surfing the net and watching TV and doing random stuff, the big baby is in dreamland beside me, while I wait for the magical hour to strike before I coax him from his slumber and make sure he wakes up and wash up and get changed and remember to take all his stuff before I get him to the MRT on time so that not only will he reach work on time, he’ll get the earlier train with less people so that he can get a seat. And after that when I get home, then can I try to get some rest. Tell me I don’t sound like a mother trying to get her child to school on time.
Ok that’s all folks. Try to see some humor in this, but at the same time, oso please try to feel for me. Haha. As much as I get frustrated, but it has also come to a point when I’m too numb by all this oready. Not numb in a good way though, cos when the insides get numb, you really don’t care anymore. Sometimes I can laugh at all these, but it’s not the kind of laughter you wanna hear.
But other than my girls, the other thing that made me happy was my brand new Care Bear. I love. And no, tubs didn’t buy it for me.
And Mick, I dunno if you read my blog but sorry I couldn’t eat at your café on Friday even though I was so nearby due to time constraints. I’ll meet up with you soon and do cheer up k.

I think I can’t bring myself to eat another steamboat this week anymore. I know it’s ironic cos we’re planning one at Crystal Jade this month. Haha.
I had ban mian with Jes on Monday and that’s as good as having tom yum steamboat. After that we went somewhere we haven’t gone in a very long time - the HK café at Katong. We used to be there almost everyday and suddenly, we just stopped going there. And up til now, the waitress still recognizes us. Haha.
Tuesday was Tian Tian Steamboat with my dear girls. Rachel just had XDL over the weekend so this time we decided to try somewhere else. I’ve eaten here before but I still prefer XDL. We ate damn long though. Once I reached, I met Rachel to get her new HP, then Jes reached soon after and we ate from 630pm - 10pm. Haha. That’s horrible.
Rachel was on leave on Wednesday so in the afternoon, she drove over to my place supposedly to pick me up but I ended up driving her to town. Haha. I think I’ve found myself a job - being a chauffer. Kidding. I’m very selective who I drive around, no matter if it’s my car or not, and I’ll drive my dear girl around anytime. Anyway, we walked around town for abit, ate at Crystal Jade, went shopping for maternity clothes for her (even though her tummy is barely showing), and then I went to Bugis to meet my bitches while she went for her facial appointment.
We planned to have XDL supper so in the meantime we walked Bugis Village and I ended up buying 2 dresses. I think dresses are one thing I oways buy but hardly wear. Hur hur. I think because we have become such familiar faces at XDL, we didn’t even have to wait til supper time to start supper. Haha. After we were done at XDL, we went for drive-thru on the way back to my house to get some drinks and an ice cream cone and when we came to a filter lane, Jane didn’t look out for traffic, neither did she slow down and just went and she nearly drove right into a lorry. Luckily she managed to swerve in time to avoid it and the weird thing was the lorry driver didn’t seem to have noticed our car at all. He didn’t slow down, swerve or curse at us. He just kept on going while we were all still in shock at the near end to our lives. Hahaha. But nothing happened so it’s all good.
At my place, we decided to slack for abit before Kel came to pick da chix up so we took fotos. Lots of fotos, but not many decent looking ones. It’s all da chix’s fault I swear. Oways making faces at the cam. Haha.
It’s Friday now but because I didn’t sleep a wink, I keep thinking it’s still Thursday. There’s no point sleeping anyway, even if I could, cos I need to get ready soon and meet Jes and Rachel for lunch near Jes’s workplace. And because mummy Rachel is on MC today, her after lunch plan is to go Bugis to shop and she’s craving XDL once again. I’m just gonna watch her eat man. I just hope I won’t puke just by watching her eat. Hahahahaha. And I think after today, I won’t be shopping at Bugis again for a long time. Pregnant women really have the weirdest cravings. I swear if she could, she’ll be eating XDL everyday.
Ok I gtg oready! Thanks everyone for replying the thread on FB… except Ling. She better be doing something useful like frying some keropok for me. Haha. Have a good weekend everyone!

Sunday’s weather was horrendous. Tubs and I went to pick Chan up to go Changi Village for Nasi Lemak and tubs bought from the wrong store and it was gross. I barely touched my food at all man. Not knowing where to go, we ended up at the nearest point of interest - OCH. It’s my first time there in the day. Haha. It looks a lot less freaky with the whole place so brightly lit by the blinding sun. We ventured inside, walked around the compound, didn’t even go up any stairs or to the connecting buildings when we had so damn many mosquito bites that we decided to leave. There were other people there as well and they were more like taking a tour lor. Someone was bringing them around, telling them about the place and they were taking pictures. Haha. Now that we were on a roll of what kinda places to go to, we went to the next nearest attraction - Red House at Pasir Ris. Once again, in the day - looked like any other house in the neighborhood. Haha. Off the top my head, I couldn’t think of anyplace else in the vicinity so while heading towards Chan’s place, we decided to stop and take a look at the Matilda House. The rain the night before didn’t help cos everyone knows what happens to the Matilda House - there will be a moat surrounding it. We weren’t very keen on leaving the car along the road, trudging thru all the tall grass and getting our feet wet and dirty trying to cross the moat so we abandoned plan. It oso didn’t help that the whole house looked like it was boarded up so if we went thru all that trouble and discomfort, only to find no way in, it’ll be damn irritating. But on the same plot of land, there are cranes and ongoing works so if they are gonna build HDB blocks right beside the Matilda House, I dunno who will dare to live there. I don’t think I’ll be keen though. Haha. The weather was so bad that the aircon on full blast wasn’t even helping much. So we ended up slacking below Chan’s block and somehow all that concrete, shelter, tiles etc made it much cooler. As usual, there was a lot of rubbish talk , especially when the boys are in the mood and soon a couple of hours had passed and we had to leave cos we barely had time to rush back home to change before heading to Orchard.
Met the rest of the gang at Ngee Ann City, managed to have a much needed ciggie before we headed in for Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania show. I hope tubs wasn’t bored though. He didn’t comment much on the show other than thinking that Vivienne Westwood was either sick or high while filming her little speech. Hur hur. It wasn’t bad, but I guess I was expecting a lot more, cos some of her past pieces have blown me away before, and also it is the closing event after all. It was also a shame she didn’t come, nor sent Pamela Anderson here. Haha. In her video, it was talk about her being environmentally friendly and therefore she doesn’t fly long distances etc but somehow I wasn’t much convinced. It is Vivienne Westwood after all. The very controversial Vivienne Westwood. The Vivienne Westwood who doesn’t wear panties. The Vivienne Westwood who married the manager of The Sex Pistols. The Vivienne Westwood who revolutionized punk style. The Vivienne Westwood who walked out of Sex and the City’s movie premiere after 10mins, condemning the clothes featured. The Vivienne Westwood who’s show Naomi Campbell walked in with 9 inch heels and so famously fell in. So in the end, I think it didn’t quite do it for me despite the loud colors, big hair, attention grabbing make up and quirky models. I still loved Ashley Isham’s showcase the most. Utterly divine. Recognise the new designs on the recent coke cans/ bottles? The ones that were given out free at the Audi Fashion Festival and also sold everywhere? The ones FB-mad-Jes claimed to be Bejewelled Coke? They are designed by non other than the man himself. How fitting eh. He really rocks.
And stupid Bryan got Gareth Pugh to write him a little momento. I’m jealous. Haha. But it’s still all thanks to Bryan for everything!
After the show ended, the gang headed to Swee Choon for dim sum. It’s been awhile since I last ate at Swee Choon and I realise the best time to eat there is with a whole group of friends so you’ll get to eat abit of many things. Haha. Shiokers!
Anyway, maybe somebody should explain to me why people now and then seem so afraid of me. Especially people who I would consider close to me. I don’t bark nor do I bite. I think I’m usually quite a calm person. Does me being too calm make people more paranoid? Am I that hard to say something straight to? I don’t mind when other people get involved along the way, but through past experiences, I still think the best method is to go direct. But I think me saying all these is because in the beginning, there wasn’t much of an issue to start with. But it became something slightly bigger, something slightly more touchy somehow along the way. And when it finally reached me, I just didn’t know what to make of it anymore. But, there is nothing wrong, nothing I wanna talk about, no hard feelings, nothing at all. So let’s just let this weird episode past yah.
Enjoy a brand new work week everyone! I hope everyone will have as much fun as me. Haha.
* I’ve got pictures and videos of the final walks of all the shows I attended but I have yet to go thru them so be patient yah.
* Yuan, send me pictures we took together k. Also the ones I/we took with Ling.
* Whoever has pictures/ videos from the shows, please send them to me cos the colors didn’t turn out quite as I expected on my cam and some of them are just blurry. Boo Hoo.

Surprise! I AM blogging on a weekend and today’s Mother’s Day even though I’m not gonna celebrate it. Hur hur. And the only reason why I’m blogging on a weekend, is bcos it’s something to keep me occupied cos I just got home not long ago and I gotta wake up around 8am, which is just in awhile, so sleeping now would result in disastrous consequences. It oso doesn’t help that the storm has yet to end and the rain beating against my window, together with the thunder and dark skies is super conducive for sleeping.
Anyway, here’s what happened from Friday. Ended up with Yuan being my date for Ashley Isham’s show and damn was it good. I still can’t get the couture showcase out of my mind! Simply gorgeous. Even though I enjoyed Gareth Pugh’s show and there was so much hype going on about him, but Ashley Isham’s showcase really did it for me.
After we were done with the show, Ling was oready outside waiting for us so we had time to chill and chat with her while waiting for the next show to start. Marc by Marc Jacobs wasn’t bad but I thought the clothes were far too plain and simple. I didn’t attend Action Hair Salon’s show though cos tubs was oready on his way down to meet me. But I had a blast and thanks Bryan once again for getting us seats plus the Marc Jacobs perfume~
Because I hadn’t eaten the entire day, tubs and I went Dunman for TJZ after that. Yums! Chatted with the boss for abit before heading home for some rest. I haven’t had a good nite’s sleep in a damn long time man.
Spent a long time trying to wake up, and then lazing around in bed and once I got out of bed to wash up and get changed, it was oready evening and tubs suddenly decided to have an impromptu BBQ session at his place before his folks come back from their holiday. Haha. The problem was, my folks were having a BBQ downstairs too with the grandparents, aunties and uncles. So we went down, trying not to eat too much, mingled for awhile and then I grabbed a bottle of Baileys from home and off we went. Went to Giant at Tampines and just grabbed whatever we could think of. Once back at tub’s place, the guys helped set up the pit and got the fire going while tubs and I prepared the food. Luckily we were pretty done eating and cooking when it started pouring. So after cleaning up, we slacked indoors until everyone started feeling tired before we headed home.
And that is why I am still awake at this time. *sigh*

It’s been awhile since I last blogged. Haven’t really had the mood to, haven’t really had the time to. And there’s way too many things going on. And when it’s awhile since I last blog, it means I barely remember anything that have happened between my last entry, and the present entry.
So if I really gotta update, it’ll just consist of a smattering of words and some fotos.
Last week went something like this:
Retail Therapy - Blindly bought 2 bags, 2 dresses, 1 pair of heels within a very short span of time but luckily I like them all
Prison Break - Went for fab Jap food which was worth every bit of the T&Cs and cranky owner
Prison Break 2 - Tub’s reservist ends~
Rumbly in my Tumbly - Ban Mian, XDL, Kway Chup, Macs brekkie just to name a few
Movies Old & New - The Reader, Wolverine, The International
Pub*ic Holiday - Labor Day
Bummed Out - Missed Beerfest Asia 2009
Pup Petrol - Pasir Ris Pet Farm and saw a darn cute and pong teacup poodle
And this week:
Jes and I planned for some Gelare on Tuesday, only to find Siglap’s Gelare packed. And so we went ECP, thinking that outlet would be less crowded. When we got there, we realized we weren’t wrong at all. The place was empty BUT it wasn’t Gelare anymore. ECP Gelare had been taken over by another café. Boo Hoo. Earlier in the day, an accident happened. It wasn’t me, but I just wanna say that just as long as you’re fine, it’s all good.
Wednesday met my bitches for lunch, shopping, coffee and talk cock session. ‘Nuff said.
Thursday. I think it’s ironic how some things turn out. Haha. From me convincing Ling in the middle of the nite to go, to her convincing me the next day to go, and I’m glad we did cos Gareth Pugh was fab at the Audi Fashion Festival. The photos I took didn’t do the show any justice at all so I shall not post them up. The only thing was that the show was way too short. Thanks Bryan once again!
After Gareth Pugh, we decided to head over to Coffee Club for some food and drinks and being lazy, I drove from Ngee Ann City to Cineleisure and while tearing parking coupons, I got distracted and tore off the wrong tab. So Ling had the important task of doing a good restoration job. Hahaha. Anyway, I didn’t realise we had been at Coffee Club for so long until Ann came to join us for awhile and had to leave for work. When it was time to leave, we dropped by Pacific Plaza to pick tubs and Chan up and then we dropped Ling home. I’m glad I met my darLing. It was great catching up with her and no, we don’t only go crazy when we’re both tired. Somehow we have the special ability to make each other laugh and not know the reason why at all.
Later is Ashley Isham and Marc Jacobs. I shall let my mood decide for me then.
Picture time!
Beer~
And here's presenting my very handsome BF..
Here's tubs with Chan
Here's tubs in all his glory
Ya la ya la. Those are my glasses... I spent a bomb on them but hardly wear them BUT it does not validate using them as props to look like an Ah Tiong/ Ah Siao.
I doubt I'll be blogging over the weekend so i wanna wish my dear Rachel a Happy Mother's Day in advance! *Muack*
