Sunday’s weather was horrendous. Tubs and I went to pick Chan up to go Changi Village for Nasi Lemak and tubs bought from the wrong store and it was gross. I barely touched my food at all man. Not knowing where to go, we ended up at the nearest point of interest - OCH. It’s my first time there in the day. Haha. It looks a lot less freaky with the whole place so brightly lit by the blinding sun. We ventured inside, walked around the compound, didn’t even go up any stairs or to the connecting buildings when we had so damn many mosquito bites that we decided to leave. There were other people there as well and they were more like taking a tour lor. Someone was bringing them around, telling them about the place and they were taking pictures. Haha. Now that we were on a roll of what kinda places to go to, we went to the next nearest attraction - Red House at Pasir Ris. Once again, in the day - looked like any other house in the neighborhood. Haha. Off the top my head, I couldn’t think of anyplace else in the vicinity so while heading towards Chan’s place, we decided to stop and take a look at the Matilda House. The rain the night before didn’t help cos everyone knows what happens to the Matilda House - there will be a moat surrounding it. We weren’t very keen on leaving the car along the road, trudging thru all the tall grass and getting our feet wet and dirty trying to cross the moat so we abandoned plan. It oso didn’t help that the whole house looked like it was boarded up so if we went thru all that trouble and discomfort, only to find no way in, it’ll be damn irritating. But on the same plot of land, there are cranes and ongoing works so if they are gonna build HDB blocks right beside the Matilda House, I dunno who will dare to live there. I don’t think I’ll be keen though. Haha. The weather was so bad that the aircon on full blast wasn’t even helping much. So we ended up slacking below Chan’s block and somehow all that concrete, shelter, tiles etc made it much cooler. As usual, there was a lot of rubbish talk , especially when the boys are in the mood and soon a couple of hours had passed and we had to leave cos we barely had time to rush back home to change before heading to Orchard.
Met the rest of the gang at Ngee Ann City, managed to have a much needed ciggie before we headed in for Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania show. I hope tubs wasn’t bored though. He didn’t comment much on the show other than thinking that Vivienne Westwood was either sick or high while filming her little speech. Hur hur. It wasn’t bad, but I guess I was expecting a lot more, cos some of her past pieces have blown me away before, and also it is the closing event after all. It was also a shame she didn’t come, nor sent Pamela Anderson here. Haha. In her video, it was talk about her being environmentally friendly and therefore she doesn’t fly long distances etc but somehow I wasn’t much convinced. It is Vivienne Westwood after all. The very controversial Vivienne Westwood. The Vivienne Westwood who doesn’t wear panties. The Vivienne Westwood who married the manager of The Sex Pistols. The Vivienne Westwood who revolutionized punk style. The Vivienne Westwood who walked out of Sex and the City’s movie premiere after 10mins, condemning the clothes featured. The Vivienne Westwood who’s show Naomi Campbell walked in with 9 inch heels and so famously fell in. So in the end, I think it didn’t quite do it for me despite the loud colors, big hair, attention grabbing make up and quirky models. I still loved Ashley Isham’s showcase the most. Utterly divine. Recognise the new designs on the recent coke cans/ bottles? The ones that were given out free at the Audi Fashion Festival and also sold everywhere? The ones FB-mad-Jes claimed to be Bejewelled Coke? They are designed by non other than the man himself. How fitting eh. He really rocks.

And stupid Bryan got Gareth Pugh to write him a little momento. I’m jealous. Haha. But it’s still all thanks to Bryan for everything!
After the show ended, the gang headed to Swee Choon for dim sum. It’s been awhile since I last ate at Swee Choon and I realise the best time to eat there is with a whole group of friends so you’ll get to eat abit of many things. Haha. Shiokers!
Anyway, maybe somebody should explain to me why people now and then seem so afraid of me. Especially people who I would consider close to me. I don’t bark nor do I bite. I think I’m usually quite a calm person. Does me being too calm make people more paranoid? Am I that hard to say something straight to? I don’t mind when other people get involved along the way, but through past experiences, I still think the best method is to go direct. But I think me saying all these is because in the beginning, there wasn’t much of an issue to start with. But it became something slightly bigger, something slightly more touchy somehow along the way. And when it finally reached me, I just didn’t know what to make of it anymore. But, there is nothing wrong, nothing I wanna talk about, no hard feelings, nothing at all. So let’s just let this weird episode past yah.
Enjoy a brand new work week everyone! I hope everyone will have as much fun as me. Haha.
* I’ve got pictures and videos of the final walks of all the shows I attended but I have yet to go thru them so be patient yah.
* Yuan, send me pictures we took together k. Also the ones I/we took with Ling.
* Whoever has pictures/ videos from the shows, please send them to me cos the colors didn’t turn out quite as I expected on my cam and some of them are just blurry. Boo Hoo.
